We have recently reviewed our guidance for parents regarding nuts and nut products, as we now have several children in school who have life threatening nut allergies.
Although we can never guarantee to be totally nut free, we would like to try to minimise the risk to those children involved. The school dinners provided by Hampshire Caterers are nut free, but there is still a possibility that children with severe allergies may have contact with nuts brought into school by other children.
We are therefore asking for your assistance as we try to make our school environment safe for all. Please could we ask that those parents whose children bring in packed lunches do not include nuts, or products containing nuts, in lunch boxes. We would like this to take effect from Monday 17th June.
We are grateful for your cooperation in making these changes for the sake of those children involved.
